À Deriva is a fishing game I have been making little by little, in spare hours. It is open now because it reached a point where it makes more sense in other people's hands than sitting in my folder.
I hope you like it.
It costs nothing, there is no shop inside, no ads, and nothing locked away waiting for a payment.
It is also not the finished game: maps are missing, things are half-built, and there is almost certainly a bug I have not seen. It is a test — that is what it is open for.
The plan is to publish there, with the new maps and the rest of what is still being built. And publishing has a fixed cost, which is the part still missing: US$ 100 for the Steam fee.
After that it is time: maps, art and sound.
Any amount helps, and none is too small. Donating gets you no advantage inside the game. It buys the project breathing room: it is what keeps it alive and what helps us get further.
Tell me what you thought. Where it stalled, where it got boring, what did not make sense. That is what changes the game the most, and it already has, several times.
If you find something broken, send the logs folder with it — the
home page says where it lives.
